Your Next Stamp - Challenge #193 - Christmas Card

Hello! It has been a loooong time since I last posted. Life got busy, and posting here as well as everywhere else just got to be too much.

Today I am sharing my card I made for the current Your Next Stamp Challenge.

I started off by creating the background using the Miss Ink Stamps Candy Stripe stencil and some Barn Door Distress Ink using a blending brush. I roughly traced along the edges of the stripes with a glitter pen to add some fun sparkle.

Next, I stamped the adorable image from the Your Next Stamp Cup of Happiness stamp set using Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment Ink and colored it using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. For the reds, I used DR3, DR5, and DR7. The browns for the nose and coffee were TN7, TN8, and TN9. I used a small amount of RB1 for the marshmallows. I also added a white accent on the nose using a white gel pen.

I fussy cut the cup of coffee and then die cut some green trees using the Elizabeth Crafts Mason Jar Kit to add a splash of color to my card. I glued them down using some Art Glitter Glue.

To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment using the same black ink from before and adhered the panel to a white A2 card base.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to head on over to the Your Next Stamp blog and enter the challenge as well!

Happy crafting!

Kelsey
