Polka Dot Orchard Hallo Boo

Hello!

I am back with some adorable Halloween cards featuring digital stamps from Polka Dot Orchard.

Here is the first card:

Did you know that some of the digital sets in the Polka Dot Orchard shop have ready prints? These are pre-made card fronts that are ready for you to open and print right away. It takes away the guess work in sizing your digitals and getting them ready to print on your own. For the projects today, I used the ready prints for the Hallo Boo digital stamp set to show how versatile they are - you can cut them up and make your cards unique.

For this card, I trimmed the ready print panel down and then used the Kat Scrappiness

Zig Zag Nesting Slimline dies to cut out the sentiment and adorable Pooh and Piglet image out using my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat.

Next, I colored in my image using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:

  • Pooh: Black, 90% French Grey, 70% French Grey, Sunburst Yellow, Canary Yellow, Deco Yellow, Sky Blue Light, White, Dark Brown, Light Umber, Mineral Orange, Goldenrod, and Jasmine

  • Piglet: Lilac, White, Pink, Blush Pink, Deco Pink, Orange, Yellowed Orange, Sunburst Yellow, and Black

I then dug through my stash of patterned paper and found this fun candy corn paper. I trimmed it to 4" x 5.25" in size and then glued my sentiment and image on top. I trimmed off the overhanging bits and then glued the whole panel to a yellow A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.

That's it for the first card.

This is the second card:

I also used the Hallo Boo ready prints for this card. I used the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Postage Stamp Edge Rectangles dies and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat to cut around the image. I also cut out a piece of patterned paper with the same dies to use as my background. I fussy cut around the sentiment with my scissors.

Next, I colored the image with Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:

  • Ground: Dark Green, Apple Green, and Spring Green

  • Sky: Black, Indanthrone Blue, Denim Blue, Cerulean Blue, and True Blue

  • Pooh: Mineral Orange, Goldenrod, Jasmine, Black, 90% French Grey, 70% French Grey, Sunburst Yellow, Canary Yellow, Deco Yellow, Sky Blue Light, White, Dark Brown, and Light Umber

  • Piglet: Parma Violet, Lilac, White, Pink, Blush Pink, Deco Pink, Orange, Yellowed Orange, Sunburst Yellow, and Black

I arranged all of my card elements on a black A2 card base and glued them in place with Art Glitter Glue.

That's it for both cards! I hope you enjoyed them and are inspired to create.
