Hello!
I am excited to be sharing my first DT project for The Outlawz Twisted Challenge. Our challenge this month is Song and Rhymes.

We were given a poem about a bee, and this is the card that I was inspired to create. I'll post the poem below:

I imagined that this little bee was out gathering some honey to bring to a birthday party, and made this adorable card to show his excitement when he brought his gift to his friend!
I started by trimming a panel of white cardstock to 4" x 5.25" in size. I then used the Simon Says Stamp Honeycomb stencil, a blending brush, and Wild Honey Distress Ink to ink up a background for my card.
Next, I die cut the black frame and white panel using the Simon Says Stamp Honeycomb Tag die set using my Sizzix Big Shot machine and magic mat.
I then used an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink to stamp the cute bee bursting from a gift box. The bee is from the Simon Says Stamp Happy Bee Day stamp set. After the ink dried, I colored the fun birthday scene using my Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Bee (black): Black, 90% Warm Grey, 70% Warm Grey, and 50% Warm Grey
Bee (yellow): Yellowed Orange, Sunburst Yellow, and Canary Yellow
Bee (wings): Sky Blue Light and White
Gift box and hat: Dioxazine Purple Hue, Parma Violet, and Lilac
Top of hat and ribbon: 20% Cool Grey, 10% Cool Grey, and White
Floor: 50% Cool Grey, 30% Cool Grey, and 20% Cool Grey
I glued the colored panel to the black frame and tied some twine from my stash in a bow at the top.
Next, I used my MISTI and the Altenew ink to stamp the sentiment "Hap-bee birthday" from the same stamp set.
I attached the tag to the card using foam squares and then accented the card with black crystals from my stash.
To finish off the card, I glued the whole panel to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to create.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
