Hello!
I am back with some projects featuring new products from Spellbinders.
Here is my first card:

I started by using the new Spellbinders Upright Italic Thank You Press and Foil set along with my BetterPress LetterPress system and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink to press "thank you" into a piece of white cardstock that was trimmed to 4" x 1 7/8" in size. I ran the BetterPress platform through my Sizzix Big Shot after inking up the plate.
As that panel was drying, I die cut the bird and cage frame with the Spellbinders Pretty Birds set. I cut the frame from gold cardstock and the bird from colored cardstock scraps. I used mini blending brushes and Kat Scrappiness Kat's Crafty Dabbers to add color using Distress Inks. I used Mowed Lawn and Mustard Seed for the bird. I glued the layers of the bird together using Art Glitter Glue.
For my background, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4" x 5.25" and embossed it using the Spellbinders Distress Mix 3D embossing folder. I then used a blending brush and inked the panel using Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. The sentiment panel was dry at this point, so I also inked it with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.
I glued all of my layers onto a white A2 card base. To finish my card, I stamped a sub-sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Just Plane Awesome stamp set onto a white cardstock strip and glued it under my thank you sentiment.
That's it for the first card.
Here is card two:

I started by creating the sentiment using the Spellbinders Upright Italic Thinking of You Press and Foil set with my BetterPress LetterPress system. I also used the Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink for this sentiment. Once the ink was dry, I fussy cut around it with my scissors, inked the edges with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink, and set it aside to work on the rest of the card.
I pulled out the Spellbinders Layered Wildflowers set and die cut some flowers from scraps of cardstock using my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat. I then used Kat Scrappiness Kat's Crafty Dabbers to add some shading using Abandoned Coral and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.
Next, I created a background for my flowers and sentiment to sit on. I die cut the ovals using the Spellbinders Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals dies. I cut the smaller oval from white and the larger from the same red I used for the flowers. I stamped the white panel with the Spellbinders Sign Here stamp set using an acrylic block and Tea Dye Distress Ink for some interest.
I then trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4" x 5.25" in side and embossed it using the Spellbinders Dimpled 3D embossing folder. I inked the panel around the edge using a blending brush and Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
I assembled all of my card elements onto a white A2 card base and glued them in place using Art Glitter Glue.
That's it for both cards! I hope you enjoyed them and are inspired to create.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
