Hello!
I am back with some projects featuring the Essentially Yours Collection from Spellbinders.
Here is my first card:

I started by trimming a piece of Bee Inspired Watercolor Paper to 4.25" x 5.5" in size and then using the Spellbinders The Hundred Acre Wood Press and Foil set and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink to press the image into the cardstock using my Spellbinders BetterPress LetterPress System and Sizzix Big Shot. After the black ink dried, I then used Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks and a mini mister to do some ink smooshing on my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat. After the panel dried, I trimmed it to 4" x 5.25" in size.
For the focal image for my card, I die cut two ovals from white cardstock using the Spellbinders Scallop and Stitched Edge Oval dies. For the larger oval, I used the same Distress Inks above and blending brushes to make it match the background colors. On the smaller oval, I stamped Pooh and "It's a boy!" from the Spellbinders Hello Baby stamp set. I then colored the image using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Pooh: Sienna Brown, Mineral Orange, and Goldenrod
Rattle: 20% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, White, Denim Blue, Cerulean Blue, and True Blue
To create the rest of the sentiment, I used the new Spellbinders Layered Congrats die set and cut out the word "congrats" from black cardstock. I also cut out the shadow from white and used a foam blending tool to add some Vintage Photo around the edges.
I assembled all of my card layers on a white A2 card base and glued everything in place using Art Glitter Glue. To finish the card, I added some gems from the Spellbinders Woodland Tales gem pack.
That's it for the first card!
Here is the second:

I started by cutting a rectangle from Bee Inspired Watercolor Paper using the Spellbinders Linear Touch Rectangles and Tag dies and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat. I then used the Spellbinders Paws in the City BetterPress plates and dies to press the girl image into the card using my BetterPress LetterPress System and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I also pressed the sentiments onto white cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating die. I chose the sentiment that reads "Life's more fun with a little flair."
After the black ink was dry, I used my Grabie watercolor paints and a number 2 round brush to add some color. Specific colors are below:
Macaron Rose
Macaron Peach
Macaron Sepia
Macaron Khaki
Macaron Ecru
Next, I searched through my stash of patterned paper to find the perfect match for my colors. I used the Lawn Fawn Stripes 'n Sprinkles 6x6 paper pad and cut out a piece using the largest rectangle die.
I then die cut "best wishes" from black cardstock using the new Spellbinders Layered Best Wishes die set.
I glued all of my card layers to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue. I placed the sentiment toward the bottom right of the card and accented it with some pink gems from my stash.
That's it for both cards! I hope you enjoyed them and are inspired to create.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
