Hello!
Today I am sharing this adorable card I made using products from Spellbinders.

I trimmed a piece of Neenah white cardstock using my Tim Holtz Guillotine Trimmer and taped the dies from the Spellbinders Dancin' Birthday Monster set to the cardstock using Scrapbook.com mint tape. I then ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot Machine with my magic mat.
To color the pieces, I laid them out on my glass media mat. I then took a blending brush and Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and applied ink to the body of the monster. I repeated the same process for the eye stalks, arms, legs, and belly using a blending brush and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. For the colorful parts of the eyes, I used a Kat Scrappiness mini blending brush and Peacock Feathers. For the black part, I used another mini brush and Black Soot Distress Ink.
To add detail to the inked pieces, I used my Prismacolor colored pencils. I added shading and fur texture.
Specific colors:
Green: Grass Green, True Green, and Light Green
Aqua: Cobalt Turquoise, Aquamarine, and Light Aqua
I used Art Glitter Glue to attach the pieces of the monster and then used a white Gelly Roll pen to add some shine detail to his eyes.
To create the sentiment, I used a foam blending tool and applied a heavy layer of Peacock Feathers ink to white cardstock. I then die cut it using the Spellbinders Stylized Happy Birthday dies.
I used my trimmer to cut a white panel to 4" x 5.25" to use as my background panel. I used Prismacolor 90%, 70%, 50%, and 30% Cool Greys to add a shadow under my monster and glued him down. I then arranged the letters of "happy birthday" in a playful manner and glued them down. I attached the whole panel to a Spellbinders Teal Topaz A2 card base. To finish the card, I used Kat Scrappiness Mint Leaves Pearls.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to create! I also wanted to let you know that Spellbinders is have a BOGO sale on select dies. Both of the sets that I used for this card are included in the sale. The sale ends on May 4th.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
