Hello!
I am back with a card featuring the new Woodland Release from Kat Scrappiness. The design team is having an Instagram hop today, so I encourage you to check it out. The hop starts here with Kat Scrappiness.

I started by trimming a piece of blue cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then die cut a bunch of leaves from scraps of green cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Foliage dies and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat. I then used Kat Scrappiness mini blending brushes and Kat's Crafty Dabbers to add some shading to the leaves using Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn, and Peeled Paint Distress inks. This added some more interest to the leaves to really make them stand out on the background.
I then started arranging them on the background panel. I wanted my card to look like you were laying on the forest floor looking up at the sky, with foliage and animals looking down on you. Once I was satisfied with how my leaves were layered and they were all glued in place, I used the Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangle dies (currently unavailable) to cut out the panel and set it aside to work on the rest of the card.
I stamped four bears, the fox, and the squirrel from the new Kat Scrappiness Woodland Critters stamp set onto white cardstock using an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. The sentiment was stamped from the Woodland Critters Sentiments stamp set and reads " May your days be filled with wonder, love and sweet adventures."
I colored the critters using my Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Fox: Pumpkin Orange, Cadmium Orange Hue, Orange, 20% French Grey, 10% French Grey, and White
Squirrel: 70% French Grey, 50% French Grey, 30% French Grey, 20% French Grey, Dark Umber, Dark Brown, Light Umber, and Beige Sienna
Black Bears: Black, 90% French Grey, 70% French Grey, 50% French Grey 30% French Grey, and 20% French Grey
Brown Bears: Chocolate, Terra Cotta, Burnt Ochre, Mineral Orange, and Goldenrod
I used my scissors to fussy cut around the critters and the sentiment. I then glued them to my background panel, starting with the sentiment in the center. I then put the bears in the four corners and the fox and squirrel between them. I used my scissors to trim off the parts that were hanging off.
To finish the card, I glued my panel to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to create.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
