Hello!
I am excited to be sharing my project using the new Pirate Quokkas release from Kat Scrappiness.

When I saw the Pirate Quokkas and Pirate Quokkas Sentiments stamp sets, I knew I had to make a scene card. I started by trimming a piece of white cardstock to 4" x 5.25" in size. I then used and acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink to stamp the pirate on the panel. I wanted the treasure chest to be sticking out of the sand as though the pirate had dug it up, so I figured out where I wanted it, inked it up, and then blotted off the ink on the lower left corner of it. I stamped it on the panel and then sketched in the sand lines around the pirate and the treasure chest. Next, I sketched in a palm tree with a pencil and traced over the lines with a black Kingart Inkline pen when I was satisfied with it and erased the pencil lines. I also sketched in a hill behind it. I then stamped the sentiment "Ye arrrr a treasure!"
After the ink was dry, I colored my scene using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Quokka body: Sienna Brown, Mineral Orange, and Goldenrod
Boot/hat/nose: Black, 90% Warm Grey, and 70% Warm Grey
Skull: 20% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, and White
Mouth: Crimson Red and Carmine Red
Hook: 50% Cool Grey, 30% Cool Grey, and 20% Cool Grey
Peg leg/treasure chest: Dark Umber, Dark Brown, and Light Umber
Buckle/buttons/chest seams: Yellowed Orange, Sunburst Yellow, and Canary Yellow
Undershirt: 20% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, and White
Vest/pants: Crimson Lake, Crimson Red, and Carmine Red
Jacket: Indanthrone Blue, Cerulean Blue, and Non-Photo Blue
Jacket trim: 20% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, and White
Sand: Sienna Brown, Goldenrod, Sand, and Eggshell
Grass: Dark Green, Apple Green, and Spring Green
Palm leaves: Apple Green, Spring Green, and Chartreuse
Palm trunk: Dark Brown, Light Umber, and Beige Sienna
Clouds: Non-Photo Blue, Lavender, and White
For the sky, I used a blending brush and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to add some blue to the panel.
I glued the colored panel to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to create.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
