Kat Scrappiness - Last Minute Christmas Cards!

Hello!

I am back with some last minute Christmas cards using products from Kat Scrappiness.

Here is the first card:

I started by die cutting a panel from navy cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fancy Scalloped Rectangles dies and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat.

I then used the Kat Scrappiness Christmas Sweater stencil to add some Kat Scrappiness Rainbow Glitter Mousse and a palette knife. As the background was drying, I worked on the rest of the card.

I used the same rectangle die to cut a white panel and stamped the tree from the Kat Scrappiness Quokka Christmas Costume Add On stamp set using an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. The sentiment is from the Merry Critters set.

Once the ink dried, I colored the cozy Christmas scene using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:

  • Floor: 50% Cool Grey, 30% Cool Grey, and 20% Cool Grey

  • Tree: Peacock Green, Grass Green, and True Green

I finished off the scene by adding some sparkle to the star and lights using a clear star and gold Gelly Roll pen.

I used the Kat Scrappiness Christmas Foliage dies to cut some greenery from navy cardstock and Sizzix Ivory Opulent cardstock.

I assembled all of the layers for the card onto a white A2 card base and glued everything flat using Art Glitter Glue.

I added a few Kat Scrappiness Marshmallow Pearls to finish off the design.

That's it for the first card.

Here is the second:

For this card, I created a background using the Stitched Fancy Scalloped Rectangle dies. I then used a blending brush and Abandoned Coral Distress ink to ink up the panel using the Kat Scrappiness Nordic Sweater stencil.

I then created a snow hill by cutting out the same rectangle from white cardstock and then trimmed it using my scissors. To give it some fun shine, I covered it with the Rainbow Glitter Mousse. I set it aside to dry as I worked on the rest of the card.

Next, I die cut the tree layers using the Kat Scrappiness Snow Layering Christmas Tree die set. I cut out a second tree and trimmed off each tree layer to use as a mask to add some dimension to the tree using a Kat Scrappiness mini blending brush and Pine Needles Distress Ink. I then used a white Posca pen to add some falling snow over the tree.

I stamped "Merry Christmas" onto a white strip using an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. The sentiment is from the Merry Critters set.

I glued all of the layers to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.

To finish the card, I added some Kat Scrappiness Classic White Pearls to look like snow.

That's it for both cards. I hope you enjoyed them and are inspired to create.

Happy crafting!
