Kat Scrappiness I Love You Deeply

Hello!

I am back with another Valentine card using products from Kat Scrappiness.

I started by creating some alcohol ink backgrounds on glossy white cardstock to create an ocean-like scene. I have a cheap set of alcohol inks from Amazon and just selected some blues, teals, and greens to use for the background. I also used up scraps of silver foil while the ink was still tacky to give it a bit of shine.

After my alcohol ink panels were dry, I die cut a frame from one of them using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Label Frame Nesting dies and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat. I then used the Kat Scrappiness Happily Avo-after dies to cut some hearts from then center of that shape since they would be covered up anyway.

Next, I used the frame dies to cut a piece of white cardstock. I stamped the whale and "I love you deeply" sentiment from the Kat Scrappiness Friends Under the Sea stamp set using an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.

After the ink dried, I colored the whale using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:

  • Water/belly: Cobalt Turquoise, Aquamarine, and Light Aqua

  • Whale body: Indanthrone Blue, Cerulean Blue, and Non-Photo Blue

I then used a blending brush and Salty Ocean Distress Ink to add some water to the bottom of the panel.

I arranged both panels on a white A2 card base and glued them down with Art Glitter Glue. To finish the card, I added some of the die cut alcohol ink hearts.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to create.

Happy crafting!

Kelsey
