Kat Scrappiness Hundred Acre Quokka + Overstock Sale!

Hello!

I am back with another project using products from Kat Scrappiness.

I started by die cutting a piece of Neenah white cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Hundred Acre Bridge Background die using my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat.

Next, I used my Distress Inks and blending brushes to add a light layer of ink over the pieces so that they weren't stark white, to prepare for coloring them with my pencils. I used Vintage Photo, Pumice Stone, Shabby Shutters, and Tumbled Glass. I kept the frame white.

I then used my Prismacolor colored pencils to color in the background. Specific colors are below:

  • Leaves: Dark Green, Apple Green, and Spring Green

  • Trunks: Dark Umber, Dark Brown, and Light Umber

  • Sky: Light Cerulean Blue, Sky Blue Light, White, and Lavender

  • Water: Indanthrone Blue, Copenhagen Blue, Mediterranean Blue, Light Cerulean Blue, Sky Blue Light, and White

  • Bridge Underside: Black, 90% French Grey, and 70% French Grey

  • Bridge: Black, 90% French Grey, 70% French Grey, 50% French Grey, and 30% French Grey

I then set the background panel aside to prepare the rest of my card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Kat Scrappiness A Hundred Acre Sentiments set onto a scrap of white cardstock using an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. The quokka dressed as Tigger is from the Kat Scrappiness Hundred Acre Quokka set.

Once the black ink was dry, I used the Prismacolor pencils to color. Specific colors are below:

  • Quokka: Dark Umber, Dark Brown, and Light Umber

  • Belly: Jasmine, Eggshell, and Cream

  • Body: Terra Cotta, Pumpkin Orange, and Cadmium Orange Hue

  • Stripes: Black, 90% French Grey, and 70% French Grey

  • Mouth: Crimson Lake, Crimson Red, and Carmine Red

I fussy cut around the sentiment and quokka using my scissors.

To assemble the card, I glued the background panel to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue. I then added my quokka to the bridge and put the sentiment up in the leaves.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to create.

I also want to let you know that Kat Scrappiness is having an overstock sale!

Happy crafting!
