Hero Arts Sunflower Cards

Hello!

Today I am sharing a card that I made using the Hero Arts September 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit. As of this posting, the kit is still available, but once it sells out, it is gone for good, so if you are interested in the kit, check it out right away! :)

Here is the my card.

I first created the background by smooshing Hero Arts Key Lime Fizz Reactive Ink and Moss Ink onto my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat. I then spritzed it with water and ran some Bristol paper through it to create a soft green backdrop for the flowers. I set the background aside to dry while I worked on the flowers.

I stamped the sunflower image from the kit using waterproof black ink and then used some greens, browns, yellows, and orange inks to ink blend the flowers with the coordinating layered stencils from the kit. I don't remember exactly which ink colors I used, since I made the card a while ago, but some of them are the colors that are included in the kit.

Once I was done ink blending, I used the coordinating die to cut the sunflower out. I also used the hello die and shadow from the kit to cut out a white hello and a vellum shadow.

I added all of the pieces to an A2 card base and added some Studio Katia Gold Crystals for some shine. I finished off by using a white gel pen to add some highlight details.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card!

Happy crafting,

Kelsey
