Growing in Unity Day 2

Hello!

I am back with day 2 of my Growing in Unity week over in the Growing in Unity group on Facebook.

Here is my card for today:

I stamped this cute image from the Unity Stamps Forever Rooted stamp set onto white cardstock using an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then die cut around it using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Postage Stamp Edge Squares dies and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat.

Once the ink was dry, I colored this cute scene using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:

  • Baby: Sienna Brown, Mineral Orange, and Goldenrod

  • Mom: Dark Brown, Light Umber, Beige Sienna, and Seashell Pink

  • Grass: Dark Green, Grass Green, and Parrot Green

  • Sky: Mediterranean Blue, Light Cerulean Blue, and Sky Blue Light

For the sky and the grass, I used a blending stump and Gamsol to help get a smoother blend.

Next, I used the new Spellbinders January 2026 3D Embossing Folder of the Month to emboss a piece of light brown cardstock. The cardstock was trimmed to 4" x 5.25" in size and inked around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink using a foam blending tool.

I dug through my stash of stamps and found the perfect sentiment in my Spellbinders Hello Baby stamp set. I stamped it onto a scrap of white cardstock, trimmed it down with my scissors, and inked the edges.

I glued all of my card elements on a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to create.

I also invite you to head on over to the Growing in Unity Facebook group and comment on each of my posts this week to be entered in to win a $20 gift card to Unity Stamps.

Happy crafting!
