Hello friends!
I am excited to announce that I was selected to be a guest designer for Gerda Steiner Designs! Today I am sharing my very first project using the A Whale of a Time stamps and die set (you can also get it as a bundle).
I first stamped out the images from the A Whale of a Time stamp set using Altenew's Obsidian Black Pigment Ink onto some white cardstock.

After the ink was dry, I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and a white gel pen to color the adorable critters. I then cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I then got to work on the background for my card. I decided to make a slimline scene so I could fit all of these adorable whales on my card. I used the stitched die from the Trinity Stamps Wonky Stitched Wilderness Slimline Dies to cut a background panel from blue cardstock. I then used Simon Says Stamp embossing ink to stamp the Honey Bee Stamps Ocean Borders stamp (retired) on the panel. I embossed it using Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Mermaid embossing powder. I then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hills dies to create a sandy bottom for my scene. I created sand texture using the Spectrum Noir markers and white gel pen. I also stamped the starfish from the A Whale of a Time set using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I added some foliage using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Foliage Dies.

I adhered all of the pieces on my card panel. I then stamped the sentiment and fussy cut it and added it to the card. I accented the card with some Diamond Dots in the colors 8179 and 8150.

I added the panel to a teal card base to finish up the card.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card.
Happy crafting!
