Colorado Craft Company Merry Merry Mini - February 2025 Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Challenge

Writer: Kelsey Thomas Kelsey Thomas

Hello!

Today I am back with this cute Christmas card that I made for the February 2025 Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers challenge. You can check out the group on Facebook.

To start off, I took a piece of white cardstock and cut it down to 4" x 5.25" using my Tim Holtz Guillotine trimmer. I used some repositionable adhesive to attach it to my glass media mat. I then took the Candy Stripe stencil from Miss Ink Stamps and used some Scrapbook.com 1" mint tape to tape it to the glass media mat and mask off two 1" stripes. I used a blending brush and Hero Arts Cherry Core Ink to add red ink to the two stripes. Then, I moved the tape to cover those stripes and did the same thing with Hero Arts Azalea Core ink. I used a Clear Star Gelly Roll pen to trace the edges of the red and pink stripes to add some sparkle.

Next, I used the My Favorite Things Fanciful Frame Stax dies to cut a white piece of cardstock for my sentiment using my Sizzix Big Shot machine and magic mat. I inked the panel using a blending brush and Hero Arts Paradise and Arctic Core Inks. I used the Colorado Craft Company Merry Merry Mini stamp set and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink to stamp the sentiment that says "Merry merry merry merry Christmas." I set the panel aside to dry while working on the rest of the card.

I used the next size up Fanciful Frame die to cut a mat from Sizzix Brushed Pearl cardstock. I used Art Glitter Glue to glue the striped panel to a white A2 card base. I then took an embossed snowflake panel from my stash (I don't remember the name of the embossing folder that was used) and cut it down to 4" x 1.75" and glued it to the bottom of the panel. I then cut a piece of black cardstock to 4" x 0.25" and glued it up tight to the snowflake piece. Once my sentiment panel was dry, I glued it to my mat and then glued the whole piece down on the card. I finished the card off by adding some Clear Star Gelly Roll accents to the heart and greenery on the sentiment.

That's it! I hope you enjoy the card and are inspired to create. I also hope you check out the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers group for more inspiration.

Happy crafting!

Kelsey
