Christmas in July #26 - Whimsy Stamps Penguin Holiday Squares

Hello!


I'm back for day 26 of my personal #christmasinjuly2025 cardmaking challenge. I used products from Whimsy Stamps for today's card.

I printed the adorable penguin image from the Whimsy Stamps Penguin Holiday Squares digital stamp set onto white cardstock using my Epson EcoTank printer. The sentiment was printed from the Whimsy Stamps Penguin Christmas Sentiments 1 set.


I used the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Postage Stamp Edge Squares dies to cut around the penguin image using my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat. I then colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:

  • Penguins: 20% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, White, Black, 90% Warm Grey, 70% Warm Grey, Pumpkin Orange, Mineral Orange, and Goldenrod

  • Hat: Dioxazine Purple Hue, Imperial Violet, Lilac (Amethyst), 20% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, and White

  • Scarf: Mediterranean Blue, Blue Lake, and Light Cerulean Blue

  • Sky: Pink, Blush Pink, and Salmon Pink


I die cut the word love from purple cardstock using the Sizzix Celebration Words: Script dies. I fussy cut around the sentiment from Whimsy Stamps with my scissors.


I arranged all of my card elements onto a blue A2 card base and glued them down with Art Glitter Glue. I finished off the card by adding some pink and clear gems from my stash.
