Hello!
I am back for day 7 of my August #birthdaycardbash challenge. I used products from the new Spellbinders release for my card today.

To create the giant gift, I used the new Spellbinders Lots of Stripes die set and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat to cut out the layers in orange and blue cardstock. I made the bow using the Spellbinders Bow and Bell Scallop Frame set. I inked up parts of the bow using a blending brush and Salty Ocean Distress Ink to add some dimension. I glued the layers of the gift together using Art Glitter Glue.
To create the background, I used 1" mint tape to mask off the top of the card base. I then used a blending brush and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add the ground. I did the same process for the top portion using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I glued the gift flat to the card. For the sentiment, I printed the "Happy birthday" from the Polka Dot Orchard Wonderful Birthdays digital stamp set and fussy cut around it with my scissors. I glued it flat at the same angle as the stripes on the gift.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to create.
I also want to invite you to join me in my cardmaking challenge over on my Facebook page. See the pinned post at the top of the page for details.

Happy crafting!
Kelsey
