Hello!
I am back for day 5 of my August #birthdaycardbash challenge. Today I am using new products from Spellbinders for my card.

For the main focal point of my card, I decided to use the new Spellbinders Christmas Foliage die set. I wanted to stretch this set to use for non-Christmas cards, so I decided to die cut the flowers out of blue cardstock scraps and make some pretty blue flowers. I used my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat to die cut them. I also cut out some leaves in different olive green shades of cardstock scraps.
I then used the new Spellbinders Bow and Bell Scallop Frame die set to cut a blue scalloped rectangle and a white stitched rectangle for the card.
I stamped "Birthday Wishes" using an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink from the Waffle Flower Essential Celebrations stamp set (retired).
I then started to assemble my card. First, I glued the blue rectangle flat to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue. I then centered the white rectangle on it. I assembled the flower pieces and arranged them with the leaves at the lower left corner of the card. I only added glue to the center of the flowers so that there was lift to the petals for dimension.
To finish off the card, I added a few Kat Scrappiness Gray Opal Pearls.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the card and are inspired to create. I also hope you will take a look at your holiday sets and think of ways to stretch them for other occasions.
I also want to invite you to join me in my cardmaking challenge over on my Facebook page. See the pinned post at the top of the page for details.

Happy crafting!
Kelsey
