August Birthday Bash #25 and #26

Hello!

I am back with my day 25 and 26 projects for my August #birthdaycardbash challenge.

Here is the first card:

I started by using the retired My Favorite Things Stitched Designer Octagon STAX dies to cut out a shape for my stamped image and sentiment. I used my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat to cut it out.

Next, I used my MISTI to stamp the raccoon and sentiment from the retired Stampin' Up! Special Someone stamp set. I used Lawn Fawn Hippo ink and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.

I found a piece of patterned paper from my stash that I thought would be fun for a birthday card and adhered everything flat to a white A2 card base.

That's it for that card.

Here is the second:

I printed the lion image from the Polka Dot Orchard Faith Over Fear digital stamp set using my Epson EcoTank printer. The "happy birthday" sentiment was printed from the Blessed Lives set.

I then trimmed the lion panel to 4" x 5.5" using my Tim Holtz guillotine trimmer. I then used blending brushes and Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks to add some color to the panel.

I fussy cut around the sentiment with my scissors.

I glued everything flat to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.

That's it for both cards! I hope you enjoyed them and are inspired to create.

I also want to invite you to join me in my #cardmakingchallenge over on my Facebook page. See the pinned post at the top of my page for details.
