Hello!
Today I am sharing the projects I made for the Altenew Pigment Inks Contest.
For the both cards, I used some Distress Oxide Inks in Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Cracked Pistachio to make some fun pigment ink backgrounds.
Here is my first card.
I smooshed the Distress Oxides on my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat and spritzed them with some water. I then used a piece of white cardstock and dipped it in the inks to create the background. I set it aside to dry while I worked on the next step.
I stamped the floral image from the Altenew Paint-a-Flower Anemone stamp set using Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment Ink. I set it aside to dry. You could also heat set the image if you don't want to wait. I then colored it in using my colored pencils. When I was done coloring, I fussy cut the image and adhered it to the inked panel. I stamped the sentiment from the same floral stamp set using the Obsidian Black Pigment Ink as well.
I adhered the whole panel to an A2 sized white card base.
For my second card, I used the same Distress Oxide Inks, but this time I took the ink pads direct to paper and swiped them across. I then spritzed the paper lightly to mix the colors a little.
As that background was drying, I stamped the same anemone floral image on black cardstock using Altenew Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink. I set it aside and fussy cut it out when it was dry. I then adhered it to the inked panel and stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set using Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment Ink.
I adhered the whole panel to an A2 sized black card base.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed these cards and are inspired to participate in the challenge as well!
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
