Etsy Gift Guide - Tuesday Tips: Instagram

Hello friends!

I'm back again with another Tuesday Tips for the Etsy Gift Guide Bloggers group. This week our topic is Instagram.

I'm no expert when it comes to Instagram, but I'll share what I can and pass along the tips that others have given to me.

The first tip is to set up a Linktree account. I wish I had known this when I first started using my Instagram for my Etsy shop. It is a great way to have ALL of your links in ONE link, which is huge since Instagram only allows one clickable link in your profile. It is a definite game changer. :) I am able to have the links to my shop, blog, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, and greeting card subscription group all in one place. I love it. My link is at the bottom of this post for you to check it out.

Next up, we have hashtags. I recently learned that you can use up to 30 hashtags when you post a picture on Instagram. That is a lot of keywords that you can use to help people find you! Make sure to use all of them. It is sometimes hard to come up with that many, but it is definitely worth it to use them all. I also recently learned that it is a good idea to follow the hashtags that you use and then follow other people who post those hashtags to build up organic followers on your account. :)

I wrote a blog post a while back about how to schedule posts on Instagram. I'll link it here so you can check it out. This is a great way to stay on top of posting to your Instagram regularly, especially if you are very busy on certain days and know you won't have time to post.

Finally, my last tip is to use bright, well-lit photos when you post so that you stand out when people are scrolling through their news feed. :)

That's it from me! Have a great Tuesday.

Kelsey
