Hello!
I am sharing two projects that I made using products from the new Say Cheese Classic Mouse release from Spellbinders and some digital stamps from Polka Dot Orchard.
Here is the first one:

To create this card, I started by trimming a piece of brown cardstock to 4" x 5.25" using my Tim Holtz Guillotine Trimmer. I then used my Crayola colored pencils to make a woodgrain background to look like the side of an old wooden ship. I used Dark Brown, Brown, and Light Brown to color the background, sharpening the pencils with my Westcott electric pencil sharpener as needed. I then used a foam blending tool and Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to add some shading around the edges.
To make the rest of the card, I printed the Polka Dot Orchard Everything Magical digital stamp (also available in red rubber) onto white cardstock using my Epson Ecotank printer. I then colored it using Crayola pencils.
Specific colors:
Red: Maroon, Red, and Red Orange
Hat: Brown, Light Brown, Golden Yellow, and Yellow
After I finished coloring, I used my scissors to fussy cut around the image.
Next, I used the Spellbinders Frame and Sentiments dies from the Say Cheese Classic Mouse release and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat to create a ship window that says "well, hello there!" I used Crayola pencils again to add details. I used Black, Gray, and Timberwolf. I also used a Kat Scrappiness mini blending brush and Pumice Stone Distress Ink to add some quick shading to the frame.
I positioned Steamboat Willie within the window, trimming off what wasn't needed. I wanted it to look like he was leaning out of the window to wave his hat. I cut a dark brown circle to place behind Willie and the window to be the inside of the ship.
I glued everything in place using Art Glitter Glue and attached the panel to a Spellbinders Cosmic Sky A2 card base. That's it for the first card.
Here is the second card:

I started by using the new Spellbinders 3D embossing folder of the month, Nautical Knots, and kraft colored cardstock to create a background panel. I used a foam blending tool and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add some color to make the knots pop.
Next, I printed digital stamps from the Polka Dot Orchard Everything Magical digital stamp set onto white cardstock. I fussy cut around the image and then used the foam blending tool and Vintage Photo to add a base layer of ink and make the image look old. I used Prismacolor colored pencils to color it.
Specific colors:
Reds: Crimson Lake, Crimson Red, and Carmine Red
Browns: Dark Umber and Burnt Ochre
Yellows: Burnt Ochre, Goldenrod, and Sunburst Yellow
I used the Spellbinders Classic Mouse Alphabet dies and dark brown cardstock to cut out the letters for the word "love."
I arranged all of my card elements onto a matching A2 kraft card base and glued everything down with Art Glitter Glue.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed these cards and are inspired to create. I also hope you will check out both Spellbinders and Polka Dot Orchard.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
