Hello!
Today I am sharing these cards that I made using the new Spellbinders Through the Meadow die release by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. I used the Milkweed Etched Dies and the Painted Daisy and Ladybugs dies for my cards.
First up is the daisy card.

I created the background for this card by using the Kat Scrappiness Burlap Background stencil on an A2 white card base. I used a blending brush and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add some interest to the background for my card.
I then used some leftover pieces from my gel plate stash to die cut the flowers, leaves, centers, and ladybugs from the Painted Daisy and Ladybugs die set. I used my Sizzix Big Shot Machine and magic mat to die cut them out. The papers were made with acrylic paints and my gel plate a long time ago. I figured now was a great time to use them up since these colors worked so well for the daisy! For the ladybugs, I used a King Art Inkline Pen to add the black details.
I arranged the leaves and flower layers on my card and attached them with Art Glitter Glue.
I used the Stylized Happy Birthday Etched Dies and cut out the Happy Birthday three times from black cardstock. I glued them together with Art Glitter Glue for some dimension on the card.
Next up is the milkweed card.

The background panel was created by cutting white glossy cardstock down to 4" x 5.25" in size. I then used a Tim Holtz Lace Embossing Folder and my Big Shot Machine to emboss the panel. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a foam blending tool to add some color over the texture.
I used the Milkweed Etched dies to cut out the leaves and petals from white cardstock. I then used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color the leaves. I used CG1, CG2, and CG3. For the petals, I used my Altenew Shades of Purple Artist Markers set.
I arranged the leaves and petals on the background and glued them down with Art Glitter Glue. I added purple pearls to the centers of the flowers.
I then created the sentiment by using my Glimmer Hot Foil Machine and the Seahorse Floral Hot Foil Plate and dies. I used gold foil and then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I adhered the sentiment flat on the card.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the cards and are inspired to create. I also hope you will check out the new release from Spellbinders.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
