Colorado Craft Company - Fly A Kite - Overstock Sale

Writer's picture: Kelsey Thomas Kelsey Thomas

Hello!

I am sharing this cute card that I made using the Fly A Kite stamp set from Colorado Craft Company.

To make this card, I used the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Postage Stamp Edge Rectangle dies to cut a fun rectangle from white cardstock. I then used Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink to stamp the cute mouse and sentiment from the Fly A Kite stamp set. I set the panel aside for the ink to dry.

To prepare the background for the card, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4" x 5.25" and used the Altenew Dotted Scales Debossing Cover Die and my Big Shot Machine and magic mat to cut it out. I glued it to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.

When the ink was dry, I used the My Favorite Things Grassy Edges stencil to make a ground for my mouse. I used a blending brush and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. For the sky, I used the My Favorite Things Micro Cloud Edges stencil (retired) and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

I colored the mouse and kite using Prismacolor colored pencils. For the ear, nose, and butterfly kite, I used Mulberry, Process Red, and Hot Pink. The mouse's body was colored using 90%, 70%, and 30% warm gray.

I glued the mouse panel to the center of my prepared card base.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to create. I also wanted to mention that Colorado Craft Company is having a 50% off sale on their overstock category. Use the code "OVERSTOCK50" at checkout. The sale ends 2/11/25 at midnight MDT.

Happy crafting!

Kelsey
