The Outlawz March Twisted Challenge - Greetings

Hello!

I am back with my project for The Outlawz March Twisted Challenge. This month, the challenge is a "Greetings" challenge and we were asked to make a card for a mom.

I chose to make a card celebrating a mom to be for my card. I die cut a white heart using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fancy Scalloped Hearts dies (currently unavailable) and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat. I then used my MISTI and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink to stamp the cute mom and baby bee and sentiment from the retired Honey Bee Stamps Mommy to Bee stamp set.

After the ink dried, I colored the scene with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:

  • Wings: Lilac, Lavender, and White

  • Black Stripes: Black, 90% French Grey, and 70% French Grey

  • Mom Yellow Stripes: Yellowed Orange, Sunburst Yellow, and Canary Yellow

  • Baby Yellow Stripes: Sunburst Yellow, Canary Yellow, and Deco Yellow

  • Pacifier: Peacock Green, Parrot Green, and Light Green

I dug through my stash of embossed cardstock and found this heart one that I thought went perfectly for the card. I then used a blending brush and Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink to add ink to the edges of the embossed panel and the die cut heart.

I glued everything to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue and then accented it with some gems from my stash.

That's it! I hope you are inspired to create and will check out the challenge.

Happy crafting!
