Polka Dot Orchard You Will Find Refuge

Hello!

I am back with another card featuring products from Polka Dot Orchard.

I printed the image and sentiment from the Polka Dot Orchard You Will Find Refuge digital stamp set onto white cardstock. I then used a stitched scalloped rectangle die to cut out the panel.

Next, I used a ruler and a black Kingart inkline pen to draw a line underneath the birdhouse to act as a ground.

I then colored my scene using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:

• Birds: Orange, Yellowed Orange, Crimson Lake, Crimson Red, and Carmine Red

• Birdhouse: Dark Brown, Light Umber, and Beige Sienna

I used a blending brush and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add some brown ink to the bottom of the panel. I masked off the sky using 1" mint tape to avoid getting brown ink where I didn't want it. After inking, I used the brown colored pencils to add some lines to mimic wood grain.

For the sky, I used a blending brush and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to add clouds using a retired My Favorite Things Mini Cloud Edges stencil.

I glued the panel flat to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue.

To finish the card, I added some sequins from my stash and then accented the sequins and background with Diamond Stickles.
