Hello!
I am back with some fun projects featuring the new release from Polka Dot Orchard.
Here is my first card:

I started by printing the gnome and sentiment from the new Polka Dot Orchard Splashing Good Friend digital stamp onto white cardstock. The sentiment reads "Hope your birthday is a splash."
I then colored the gnome using my Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Skin: Burnt Ochre, Nectar, and Peach
Beard: 20% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, and White
Hat/Drink/Spots: Cadmium Orange Hue, Orange, and Yellowed Orange
Floatie: Apple Green, Spring Green, and Chartreuse
I then fussy cut around the gnome and sentiment using my scissors and set them aside to work on the rest of my card.
To create a fun pool background, I started by trimming a piece of blue cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then used a retired My Favorite Things stencil called Perfect Pool Water to add some inking to the panel using a blending brush and Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Inks. After the ink dried, I also used a palette knife and Kat Scrappiness Rainbow Glitter Mousse with the stencil to add a fun sparkly layer.
Once the glitter mousse was dry, I die cut the panel using the Kat Scrappiness Zig Zag Nesting Slimline dies and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat. I also cut a navy piece of cardstock using the same die.
I layered the two die cut pieces onto a white A2 card base and glued them in place using Art Glitter Glue. I trimmed off the overhanging bits using my scissors. I then glued the gnome and sentiment in place.
To finish the card, I accented the sentiment with some retired Picket Fence Studios pearls.
That's if for the first card.
Here is the second:

This gnome and sentiment are also from the Splashing Good Friend set. The sentiment from this set reads "Soak it up, it's your day!"
I colored the gnome with Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Flamingo: Pomegranate, Process Red, Hot Pink, Black, 90% French Grey, and 70% French Grey
Skin: Burnt Ochre, Nectar, and Peach
Hair: Mineral Orange, Goldenrod, and Jasmine
Swim Suit/Hat: Dark Green, Apple Green, and Spring Green
I then fussy cut the sentiment and gnome using my scissors.
I created the background by trimming a piece of blue cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then used the My Favorite Things Perfect Pool Water stencil, a blending brush, and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to ink up the panel.
Next, I trimmed a piece of clear packaging to be just a little bigger than my inked panel in order to make a shaker card. I then put 1/8" Scor-tape along the back edges of my panel, removed the backing paper from three sides, laid it face down on the plastic, and folded over the edges to stick it in place. I then filled my shaker with some sequins from my stash. To seal up the shaker pouch, I removed the last piece of backing paper and folded over the last edge.
I then adhered my shaker pouch to a white A2 card base using the 1/8" Scor-tape and Art Glitter Glue.
To finish my card, I glued the sentiment and gnome to the card front.
That's it for card number two.
Here is the last card:

For this card, I printed the gnome and sentiment from the new My Favorite Reason digital stamp set onto white cardstock. Then sentiment reads "You're my favorite reason to celebrate."
I colored the gnome using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Skin: Burnt Ochre, Nectar, and Peach
Beard: 20% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, and White
Reds: Crimson Lake, Crimson Red, and Carmine Red
Blues: Copenhagen Blue, True Blue, and Non-Photo Blue
Whites: 20% Cool Grey, 10% Cool Grey, and White
I fussy cut around the gnome and sentiment using my scissors.
Next, I used the Spellbinders Essential Stars dies and my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat to cut out some blue and red stars. I then inked them using blending brushes and Barn Door and Salty Ocean Distress Inks for some added dimension. I glued the stars to a white A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue and trimmed off the excess.
To help my gnome stand out on the stars, I used the My Favorite Things Inside and Out Stitched Rectangle STAX dies to cut a navy panel. I then matted it on red. I added some white dot details using a white Gelly Roll pen.
I arranged my rectangle panel, gnome, and sentiment on my card base and glued them in place.
That's it for all three cards! I hope you enjoyed them and are inspired to create.
I also want to let you know that Polka Dot Orchard is having a sale in the shop. See the graphic for details.

Happy crafting!
