Hello!
I am back with some projects featuring the new Hero Arts You've Got a Friend collection.
Here is the first card:

I started by trimming a piece of white cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then used repositionable adhesive to attach it to my work surface. I placed the new Hero Arts Check Please stencil over the panel and taped it to my mat using 1" mint tape. I then used a Kingart black 02 inkline pen to trace the squares onto the panel.
Next, I removed the stencil and started coloring in the squares using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Red: Crimson Lake, Crimson Red, and Carmine Red
Orange: Cadmium Orange Hue, Orange, and Yellowed Orange
Yellow: Sunburst Yellow, Canary Yellow, and Deco Yellow
Green: Apple Green, Spring Green, and Chartreuse
Blue: Copenhagen Blue, True Blue, and Non-Photo Blue
Purple: Dioxazine Purple Hue, Violet, and Lilac
Pink: Process Red, Hot Pink, and Pink
After I was done coloring, I used the Spellbinders Linear Touch Rectangles and Tag dies along with my Sizzix Big Shot and magic mat to die cut the panel.
I then cut a smaller white panel using the same die set and stamped the bear and "happy birthday" sentiment from the Hero Arts From the Vault Birthday set (retired) using my MISTI and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I used the same colored pencils to color in the cake. I matted the rectangle on black cardstock.
To complete the card, I glued the panels to a dark blue A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue. I then added some Kat Scrappiness Sparkling Clear Diamond Jewels.
That's it for the first card!
Here is the second card:

For this card, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" in size. I then attached it to my work surface using repositionable adhesive.
Next, I used the new Hero Arts Bitty Floral stencil set to ink up my panel. I used blending brushes and Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord, Mowed Lawn, and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.
I trimmed the panel to 3 7/8" x 5" and matted it on black cardstock.
Next, I stamped the bees and sentiment from the Hero Arts Beelieve stamp set (retired) onto a scrap of white cardstock using an acrylic block and Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I colored the bees using Prismacolor colored pencils. Specific colors are below:
Bee Bodies: Yellowed Orange, Sunburst Yellow, and Canary Yellow
Wings: Greyed Lavender and White
I fussy cut around the bees and sentiment using my scissors. I used a Kat Scrappiness Kat's Crafty Dabber to add some Milled Lavender ink around the sentiment.
To finish the card, I glued the inked panel to a Spellbinders Lilac Blossom (retired) A2 card base using Art Glitter Glue. I then arranged the bees and sentiment onto the panel and glued them flat.
That's it for both cards! I hope you enjoyed them and are inspired to create.
Happy crafting!
Kelsey
